DryRun is a G-code simulator that runs in your browser. This page says what it keeps about you, where, and why. It is
published at /privacy/ (generated by tools/site.ts).
What stays in your browser
- The programs you open. They are read and simulated in your browser. Opening a file, a folder, the demo or dropping a file on the home page uploads nothing.
- The unsaved draft. The project on screen is kept in this browser's storage (IndexedDB) so that a reload or a closed tab does not lose it. Saving the project or choosing "Don't save" removes it.
- Files dropped on the home page are kept in this browser's storage for the moment it takes to open the app, then removed.
- Your sign-in. When you are signed in, the browser keeps a sign-in token for this site (local storage) so that a reload keeps you signed in. Sign out removes it.
DryRun sets no cookies. Google sign-in, when you use it, passes through Amazon Cognito's sign-in page, which sets its own cookies on its own address.
What is stored in your account
You need an account only to save. When you sign in, DryRun keeps:
- Your email address (and, with Google sign-in, the name Google gives us). The sign-in itself is done by Amazon Cognito; DryRun never sees or stores your password.
- The projects you save: their files (programs, machine, fixture, stock, setups) in a private storage bucket, and a row for the projects list (name, setups, programs, status) in a database. Both are kept on AWS in Frankfurt (eu-central-1), readable only with your account.
- The machines and fixtures you save in the Library, in the same way.
Nothing is shared with anyone else or used for advertising. Delete a project in the app and it leaves your list at once; earlier versions of its files are kept for 30 days as a backup, then deleted. To delete your account and everything in it, write to us.
